# The Living Learning Kit · At School

*pick cards · go outside · bring back proof · बाहर जाओ, सीख लाओ*

A twenty-minute outdoor learning loop for Grades 1–5, built with the content analyses of the educators who teach them. Seven subjects — Water, Plants, Seasons & Weather, Fruits & Vegetables, Our Heroes, My Community, Occupations. Runs from this folder on any phone or laptop, or on paper. Nothing is uploaded. Nothing is scored.

## Get it

**Download.** On this page, press the green **Code** button → **Download ZIP**. Unzip it. Open `index.html` in Chrome, Edge, or Firefox. That is all — no installation, no account, no internet after this.

**Or use it online.** If this repository has GitHub Pages switched on, the same `index.html` is a website you can open on a phone.

## What's inside

| Path | What it is |
|---|---|
| `index.html` | The front door — links to everything below |
| `kit/index.html` | The kit itself: subject → lens → skill → quest → one honest line → badge. Keep the whole `kit/` folder together (`support.js`, `lofl-theme.js`, `vendor/`) |
| `guide/cards-print.html` | Print-ready A4 cards — the whole loop on paper |
| `guide/teacher-guide.md` / `.html` | Two pages: running a quest with a class; Grades 1–3 vs 4–5; keeping the record; troubleshooting |
| `guide/consent-protocol.md` / `.html` | A draft protocol for where a child's work may go — written for your school to finish |
| `LICENSE` | CC BY-SA 4.0 |
| `ledger.json` | A list of every file with its checksum, so you can tell an unchanged copy from a changed one |

## Host your own copy

1. Fork this repository (or upload the unzipped folder to a new one).
2. **Settings → Pages → Source: Deploy from a branch → `main` / root → Save.**
3. A minute later your copy is live at `https://<your-name>.github.io/<repo-name>/`.

The `.nojekyll` file is there on purpose — it tells GitHub to serve the files exactly as they are.

## Change it

The seven subjects, seven lenses, and six skills are plain lists near the top of the script in `kit/index.html` (look for `subjects()`, `lenses()`, `skills()`). Add your local river. Translate the Hindi to your language. The printed cards in `guide/cards-print.html` are plain HTML. If you change something that works, share it back under the same licence.

## The one rule

Children's names, faces, and handwriting never leave the classroom without the consent your school has decided on. The kit asks for first names only and keeps everything on the device it runs on. Read `guide/consent-protocol.md` before anything a child made travels anywhere.
